What We Do & The Sheep Dipping Process

What you need to know

After years of dipping sheep Ben designed our own mobile sheep dip which was custom built for us by Highland Sheep Dippers. The unit is bought to your farm and can be set up in a yard or field, the design allows for minimal stress to the sheep and can be worked quickly and effectively by our trained team of dippers for minimal disruption to the farmer.

We transport water and chemicals on board so are fully mobile. The sheep run up a race and are entirely submerged, the sheep then drain on the unit before being released so there is no contamination from the chemicals used. We use Bymeda Golden Fleece under the strict recommended guidelines, all waste dip is removed from your premises and disposed of according to current regulations. Pratley hire is also available.

How we do it

Ben and the team will arrive on site and set up where ever you wish, whether that be a yard or field. However the dip is mounted on an artic lorry so please be aware of weight limits and very tight spaces.

From arrival the dip takes under 5 minutes to be ready to use. We ask you to have the sheep to be dipped contained within a pen with a race before we arrive. We will connect the dipping unit to your race. The sheep run up the race straight into the dip, they then move along onto a draining platform before being released from the front of the unit back into the field or yard. When all the sheep have been dipped we take away all used dip which is disposed of in accordance with current regulations.
